Beta Readers

My mother and sister recently finished reading my manuscript and sent me all of their comments. There were a lot, but I was pleased to find that none of their comments offended me. On the contrary, their feedback has given me more hope for this book than I've ever had. They had ideas for ways to fix the problems I had never been able to solve on my own, and they caught errors in language and logic and character consistency that I would have been embarrassed for anybody else to see.

Today I am inserting all of their comments into my manuscript as little pink Word bubbles. My brain is getting tired of this, so when I'm done, I'm looking forward to counting all of the bubbles. Actually, I'm excited to do anything other than going through hundreds of comments, deciding which ones to keep, and copying them into a 268-page document.

I would like to thank Mumford and Sons for entertaining me during this important but somewhat monotonous day. They make me love the banjo. You can watch the video for "Little Lion Man" here. (My favorite part is when the banjo player starts stomping like crazy toward the end of the video.) Enjoy!
